OECD are facilitating the Edge of Government Innovation Award's.

Public Sector innovators are encouraged to submit their innovative practises to fuel new research on innovation trends and that can be considered for the UAE’s new Edge of Government Innovation Award. Submissions can be completed here. and have been extended until 22 September 2017. Finalists will be invited to present their innovations in Paris at the OPSI conference Innovation in Government: The New Normal.

inBlog posted an article around why you need design thinking, and 5 Steps around the framework of putting design thinking into practise for you and your team.

 International Innovation: CIVIC Innovation Lab is the newsiest member of the Innovation family based in Nigeria.

The Civic Innovation Lab is a community of interdisciplinary creative minds leveraging technology. We are focused on harnessing Creativity, Innovation, and Technology to solve our most pressing social and environmental issues. We want to encourage effective public-private sector collaboration that will in turn help to develop urban solutions, and we’ll be using open data, government support, and a functional design process to foster this process.

Creativity, Change and Innovation. The Handsome Threesome article was published on the Innovation Excellence Website recently. Walter Vandervelde discusses creativity and how it can drive change in a positive manner. Vandervelde touches on how creativity can be utilised within the work place and builds on how innovation can't occur unless creativity is present.

Code for Australia Academy presents a 6 week program to bring private and public sector together to learn from each other and learn about design thinking, agile delivery, open data and prototyping. Mentors include Peter William, Centre for the Edge, Deloitte and Jo Szczepanska, Design Futurist, ABC.
