Innovation Month 2014: the how-to guide to event management

Innovation Month 2014 is an inclusive program allowing departments and agencies to showcase their initiatives in public sector innovation and to share new thinking about how to do things differently. We wish to encourage everyone who is willing to host an event with us.

We recognise not everyone is experienced in event management, which is why we’ve developed a guide: So you’ve decided to host an Innovation Month event: An event management primer for beginners.(DOCX 125KB | PDF 761KB). It’s a non-exhaustive guide to event management.

Alongside the primer we’re also supplying  an event planning check list (PDF 114KB), event running sheet (PDF 109KB) and event registration form (PDF 197KB), all three also available here (XLSX 53KB), along with some template forms for your speaker’s details (DOCX 82KB | PDF 45KB) and notes for MC’s (DOCX 481KB | PDF 185KB).

The events registration form is of especial interest – this allows us to promote you on the Innovation Month page and through our other channels such at the ColIDEAscope newsletter and twitter.

Our preferred timeframe for registering an event for Innovation Month is 6 June , though we’ll accept late registrations (the earlier we have them, the easier it is for us to help you promote them).
